AS SEEN ON TV. W-LIMO 2004 COMMERCIAL.
This TV commercial was created as a result of business cooperation between CLTV and W-Limo in 2004.
W-LIMO’S FIRST STRETCH LIMOUSINE
June 8th, 2001
I was proud of getting in the stretch limo
business. Prior to that I’ve had five years
of airport transportation experience.
THE FIRST LIMO’S INTERIOR
I purchased the limo from dealer in Barrington, IL.
Built by Krystal Coach builder. The famous name
and the most expensive limo I could find at that time.
Cost me $64,000
W-LIMO’S FIRST LOGO (2001)
I couldn’t imagine what a challenge was crating a logo until I tried to do it myself.
The whole idea of my logo creation was combination of compass and steering wheel.
That’s what that little picture presents and I decided that name W-Limo, stands beside.
BUSINESS CARDS (2002)
I remember how I decided to make my first steps in learning Photoshop just to design
a business card. There was cropped picture of my actual first limo on a lavender gradient
background. I loved it ! Especially because that was my first business card design.
W-LIMO’S FIRST WEBSITE (2002)
If I remember well it was end of 2001 when I created domain w-limo.com. That was the time
when web design was expensive and I was eager to learn. Dreamweaver, book stores, online
support. I used all of it. I have to mention my wife who just got out of college, helped me a lot.
I created W-Limo’s first website. What was even more inspiring I was able to position w-limo.com
at the top place on the first page of google, yahoo, and aol at that time. It was fantastic feeling.
Either you would entered “Chicago limo”, “Chicago wedding limo”, “O’Hare limo”, Midway limo”,
you would see w-limo.com on the top of the first page on every search engine. What a success !
CHANGES TO W-LIMO LOGO (2003)
Some sharpening on the logo happened very soon. Even the old logo hasn’t changed on the website
until new web design showed up in 2008, the new logo took it’s place all over media: daily news,
magazines, and TV.
MAGAZINE ADS (2002 – 2007)
This particular ad was displayed in Wedding Bells magazine. That is just one of many ads that were
issued in magazines and daily news at that time.
This is how I had decorated limos. White palms on the windows. I’ve always had a bag
with decorations stickups and was able to match the right color and the wedding theme.
I would never show up with decorated limo to pickup the bride and take her to the church.
Limo should be decorated after the ceremony. Who wants to see just married sign
when the ceremony hasn’t even started yet?
JUST MARRIED SIGN
Just married signs on flags sticking out of the windows were my favorite decoration.
One thing I hated about the flags is: You don’t see the flags while driving. So if you are
outdoor person like I am and like the fresh air, you may end up loosing it when accidentally
open the window. I’d lost so many of those.
TWO LIMOUSINE WEDDINGS
Two limousine weddings are are history. Before 2005, just like today, there was need for bridal
party transportation for more than 10 people. However it was routine to offer and sell a package
with two Lincoln limousines. Nowadays I think it’s impossible. This way when you see a picture
with two Lincoln limousines on a wedding, you can call it historic.
RED CARPET SERVICE
Another historic picture. This is the picture that I like the most. You may see this picture even
now on W-Limo website and promotional material. The reason why this pictures is different
than the others is: You don’t see that many two red carpet services at one picture, right? Plus both
limos have top hat bucket on a tripod stand with bottle of champagne in ice and two glasses
on top of it. This kind of setting I’ve had after the ceremony every time when weather permitted.
W-LIMO WEBSITE’S NEW LOOK (2008)
Complete redesign of the website happened in 2008. It was a huge project considering
expansion of the business to worldwide operations, travel, and logistics.
* * * * *
What we saw so far we can call history just because most of it it disappeared, like: logos, websites, and vehicles.
And when you look behind it has been just a few years. So calling this history let’s say we are not getting that older
it’s just technology that draw the line.
